HALL'S AND PARK STREET LAUNDROMAT HELPING VETERANS

Hall Funeral Homes and Tribute Centers has partnered with Bill Flint, owner of Park Street Laundromat/Dry Cleaners in Rockland, to have the military flags pressed ensuring the flags look perfect for the military presentation at services for veterans.

In a news release, Mike Hall said his family’s business is thankful for all the veterans who have sacrificed to provide freedom for the country, and that Hall’s assists families of deceased veterans to obtain military benefits such as providing a flag for their loved one's military honors.

Hall said, "We believe the flag is the ultimate symbol of our enduring freedom and the presentation of the flag to the family by the military honor guard represents the gratitude of our country for the veteran's service."

"On behalf of Hall's and the families we serve, I want to personally thank Park Street for not charging a fee to the veteran's families for this service. Park Street's generosity reflects their personal gratitude for all veterans," Hall added.

Hall said he is also helping veterans by purchasing Boston Red Sox raffle tickets from Gary Gamage, who represents The Sons of The American Legion, Winslow-Holbrook-Merritt Post # 1, Rockland. The proceeds of the raffle ticket sales will help the Legion with their Scholarship Program, and the winner of the raffle will win great seats to a Red Sox game, including parking.

On Memorial Day, Hall's of Waldoboro will host a free cookout for veterans and their families at its Waldoboro location on Main Street, immediately following the parade.

"We want to thank all veterans and their families for the sacrifices they have made to ensure our freedom and way of life," said Hall.
