Belfast, Medomak Valley win in golf; Oceanside, Camden Hills and Mt. View fall

Following are the scores and information provided to the Pilot for the Sept. 2 high school golf matches. 

Belfast 190, Waterville 207
At the Northport Golf Course, the Belfast Lions bested Waterville by a final score of 6-3 in the school’s second match of the new school year.

The stroke totals for Belfast was 190, compared to Waterville’s 207. 

Individual results, with Belfast players first, were:

  • Alex Fritz (40) defeated Adam Barre (50)
  • Zach Alden (42) defeated CJ Gaunce (49)
  • Doyle Bailey (53) defeated Keaton Lahnaman (55)
  • Alex Lind (55) lost to Adam Zarfos (53)
  • Jessica Clapp (60) lost to Alex Maheaux (55)
  • Alexia Sweet (65) lost to John Violette (56)

The medalist for the day was Fritz. 

The Lions are now 1-1 on the season. 

Cony 168, Oceanside 174

Medomak Valley 205, Mt. View 208
At the Country View Golf Course in Brooks, Medomak Valley bested Mt. View 205-208. 

Medomak Valley is now 1-1, while Mt. View is 0-2.
