OWLS HEAD – Glen Elizabeth Pease, 64, died Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the Sussman House in Rockport, with Katie, Richard and Dee at her side. She had battled cancer for 13 years, but never stopped smiling. She now will be reunited with her parents.

Born in Rockland, September 26, 1952, she was the daughter of Clyde F. and Elizabeth M. McAlary Pease. She attended local schools and was a 1970 graduate of Rockland District High School. She went on to earn a bachelor’s of science degree in early childhood development from the University of Maine at Orono, graduating in 1983.

Glen worked 8½ years as a teller with Peoples Heritage Bank and another eight years at the Samoset Resort in Rockport, in the Pro-Shop, Gift Shop and Reservations Department. From 1993 to 1995, she worked at Warren True Value Hardware.

Thereafter, she served as caregiver to her parents and Uncle Mac in their final years.

Glen considered her extended family, Katie Drinkwater, Richard Pease and their children, to be her own. She was always a big part of their camping adventures which usually included all the grandchildren as well.

She was a great sport and the kids always begged for her to go with them on any trip. The entire family looked forward to annual condo vacation trips along the east coast, from Maine to Key West. They also took trips to Washington State and Oregon to visit more of her extended family. The family were pleased to do an ocean cruise together, which was a first for all of them.

Always an advocate for animals, Glen loved her four cats, Ms Kitty, Boots, Delie and Tilley.
Glen is survived her family, Katie Drinkwater and Richard Pease, of Appleton, Ken Urguhart and his family, of Steilacoom, Washington, Dee Urguhart and her family of Camden, Wanda Kiely and her family, of Freeport, Tim Pease and his family, of Hampden, and Tom Pease and his family of Wichita, Kansas.

A celebration of Glen's life will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2017, at the Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Appleton.
