UNION — Gladys G. Scaccia, 75, died Jan. 31, 2015, at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport, following a brief illness. She was the wife of Albert N. Scaccia.

She worked several years as a licensed practical nurse at Pen Bay Medical Center. With her husband, Mrs. Scaccia enjoyed camping, from the Florida Keys to northern Maine.

She was a member of the Winslow-Holbrook-Merritt American Legion Post No. 1, Auxiliary in Rockland.

Mrs. Scaccia was predeceased by one sister, JoAnn Finneran. She is survived by her husband, Albert N. Scaccia of Union; two sons, William Makinen of Bangor and Scott Makinen of Tenants Harbor; one brother, James Finneran of Natick, Mass.; one sister, Nina Idarola of Ware, Mass.; two grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

No service will be held at this time.
