The Tomas Hammond Memorial

Fund established for Curtis Hammond

Thu, 11/13/2014 - 10:15am

A fund has been set up for the benefit of Curtis Hammond, the 5-year-old son of Tomas Hammond, one of the two fisherman lost at sea while fishing off Matinicus aboard the F/V No Limits on Nov. 1. Tomas grew up on Damariscove Island and most recently resided in Rockland, where he was rebuilding a boat of his own to captain one day.

The fund's name is the Tomas Hammond Memorial and is being held at the Bank of Maine. Contributions can now be made at any branch or can be mailed to: The Bank of Maine, P.O. Box 409, Wiscasset, ME 04578.

Tomas’ family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their kind words and support at this time. It was very clear at the memorial service Saturday, Nov. 8, that Tomas was blessed with an abundance of friends and extended family.
