ROCKLAND — The fifth season season of the Coastal Youth Football League opened Saturday, Sept. 2 and included a doubleheader of the junior varsity and varsity squads for Five Town Football going up against Oceanside at Rockland District Middle School.

The visiting Jammers prevailed in the JV contest 35-19 while debuting new game jerseys. Fortunes were reversed in the varsity game as Oceanside's sturdy line play helped towards a 29-8 victory.

Pictures of the games can be found on the Five Town Football Facebook page.

The teams are back on the field next Saturday, Sept. 9 as the Jammers have their home opener at the Camden Snow Bowl taking on CLC-YMCA of Lincoln County.

Five Town Football encompasses opportunities for youth in the Camden, Rockport, Hope, Appleton and Lincolnville areas. There is no school affiliation and is made up entirely of volunteers with contributions from civic organizations, area businesses, and individuals in the interest of fun, sportsmanship, leadership, excellence and safety.
