ROCKPORT — November 2-8 is “Free Tennis Week” at the Midcoast Recreation Center (MRC) and other indoor tennis facilities around the state.

In conjunction with the Maine Tennis Association, MRC is offering four free events to help promote interest in the game. The events are:

• FREE 10 and Under Play Day and Pizza Party — Sunday, Nov. 2 from 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. (registration required 236-9400).

• USTA Captains Day — Monday, Nov. 3.

• Free Adult Beginner Tennis Clinic — Tuesday, Nov. 4, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. (registration required 236-9400).

• Rockport Day — Saturday, Nov. 8 (proof of residence required).

MRC is located at 535 West St. in Rockport.
