SEARSPORT — Frederick Elmer Brackett, 88, of Searsport, passed away June 12, 2017, in Belfast. He was born Sept. 18, 1928, in Belfast to Hazel M. (Dean) and Stuart E. Brackett. Frederick was a life member of the VFW and a World War II veteran. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1970.

Frederick was predeceased by his parents; his brother; and his wife, Charlotte (Smith) Brackett. He is survived by his children, Betsy E Wallace of Pittston and Eugene M. Grey of Millington, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Signe L. Wallace and Corey E. Wallace of Waldoboro; his great-grandchildren, Mikayla R. Wallace and Cole S. Wallace of Waldoboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his grandpup, Sadie Mae Wallace; and his own beloved little dog, Sarah.

In lieu of flowers, any donations in Frederick's name can be made to St. Jude Hospital.
