ROCKLAND — Freda Thompson Vose, 83, died after a long illness Nov. 19, 2012.

Born in Portland Jan. 5, 1929, she was the daughter of John and Gertrude Chambers Thompson.

She married Clayton L. Vose and together raised their family here.

For many years Mrs. Vose ran a ceramics shop out of her home on Broadway. She held many classes there and fired the pieces herself.

Predeceased by her husband in 1999; two brothers; and one sister, she is survived by her children, Alan and Cindy Vose of Cushing, Jillaine Munro of Warren and Bruce Vose of Rockland; one brother, John Thompson of Owls Head; and six grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. at Achorn Cemetery in Rockland.
