Frank Charles Laxton Jr. 88, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the VA Togus Hospice Facility on Sunday, October 15, 2017. Frank was born to parents Frank
Laxton Sr. and Sidney Jones Laxton in Clifton Heights, PA on March 11, 1929.

Frank grew up in Media and Clifton Heights PA and attended local schools. Frank enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the South Pacific from 1946 to 1948. He was honorably discharged from the Navy and then enlisted with the U.S. Army serving from from 1948 to 1954. Frank met the love of his life Patricia Hawkins and they two were married on January 7, 1961. They lived in Hadenfield, NJ and later moved to Clifton Heights, PA .

They later moved to Lancaster, PA and finally moved to their favorite spot in St. George, Maine in 2004. Frank loved to tell stories, loved music, and was an avid reader. He enjoyed going out to eat, attending Christian concerts wherever they were being held and his family says he was a good Christian man. Frank was very lovingly cared for by his wife Patricia.

Frank was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife Patricia Laxton of St. George, ME, his Sister in laws Ruth Harvey and Carol Paulsen of St. George, ME. as well as his Brother In Laws, Alvin and John Hawkins of Rockland, ME. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service for Frank will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the St. George Baptist Church, Wiley"s Corner, St. George, Me. Pastor Steve Maxwell will
officiate. Interment will follow with Naval Military Honors at the North Parish Cemetery, Wiley"s Corner, St. George, Me.A reception will follow the burial at the Wiley's Corner Grange
Hall in St. George.
