Flags at half-staff in respect for Florida students and adults killed at school

    AUGUSTA – In respect for the victims of the tragic school shooting in Florida on Wednesday, February 14, Governor Paul R. LePage has directed the United States flag and the State of Maine flag be flown at half-staff immediately until sunset Monday, February 19, 2018.
     
    "Ann and I are deeply saddened by the shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida," said Governor LePage. "Our hearts and prayers go out to the students, teachers and families who have been devastated by this tragedy."
     
    President Donald J. Trump issued a proclamation today directing flags to half-staff as a mark of respect for the victims of the tragedy in Florida.
