Five towns approve withdrawal from RSU 20

Wed, 11/05/2014 - 2:00am

Voters in Belfast, Belmont, Morrill, Searsmont and Swanville on Nov. 4 approved referendums to withdraw from Regional School Unit 20 and to reorganize as a new five-town school district.

Both questions needed a simple majority to pass in all five towns. It exceeded that amount handily in each case.
