Felicity D. Davidson, obituary

ROCKPORT - Felicity D. Davidson, "Flash", 63, died suddenly Sunday, July 16, 2017, as the result of a motorcycle accident in Union.

She was born April 28, 1954, in Alna, Maine, the daughter of the late Charles and Doreen Boetsch. She grew up in Rockport at Sea Horse Farm and graduated from Camden-Rockport High School in 1972.

Felicity grew up showing horses throughout New England and she and the farm were magnets for fellow local equestrians. Many childhood hours were spent in a horse drawn grocery cart and in the nearby frog pond.

Felicity won the title as a Lobster Festival Sea Princess and was an outfielder for the Pen Bay Super Sox. She also spent many years living in the mountains of Utah skiing and enjoying the outdoors.

Felicity had numerous jobs over the years, she spent almost 10 years at MBNA and her most recent position being the smiling face behind the counter at Good Impressions print shop in Rockland.

She also was active in volunteering at the Rockville Community Church and walking dogs through PAWS. In the past Felicity was a member of the Maine Horse Association, Saddlebred Association of Maine, and Tri-County Horsemen.

She was vibrant person full life and love. When Flash walked in you knew it was going to be a good time.

She was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. She loved riding with friends and was a part of The Dirty Herb Gang. Her son and grandchildren were the loves of her life. Playing checkers with Brady, slumber parties in the living room with Kaitlyn, and coloring with Kylie are some of their favorite memories with Grammy Felicity. She had a beautiful smile and a huge, generous and forgiving heart. She took great joy in helping her friends and family and people wanted to be around her because of the way she made them feel.

She was predeceased by her parents, brother Timothy, sister Melanie, and her beloved dog Harley. Felicity will be missed and forever loved by her son Anthony Davidson, his wife, Julie, and grandchildren Brady, Kaitlyn, and Kylie of Gardiner; her sister, Vicki Harriman, and her husband, Herb, of Union; her brothers Greg Boetsch and wife Janice, of Lincolnville, Kip Boetsch, of Union, and his partner, Deb Walker, of Waldoboro, Nick Boetsch and his wife Janet, of Port Charlotte, Florida, Paul Boetsch and his wife, Elizabeth, of Rockport, uncle Charles Neville, of Ontario, cousin Leslie Neville and his partner, Mary Wilson, of Ontario, many nieces, nephews and friends, who were also family.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, August 13,, at Rockville Community Church, 87 Old Rockland Street in Rockville. A reception will immediately follow at Felicity's house on South Street in Rockport.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rockville Community Church, c/o Martha Morrison, 5 Gurney Street, Rockport, ME 04843 to continue on Felicity's desire to help fund a heating system for the church.
