UNION — Fayelene Brenda (Keene) Carr, 66, died Jan. 3, 2015, at her home in Union. Born Dec. 9, 1948, in Searsmont, she was the daughter of Alexander Carl and Bernice A. (Howard) Keene and was a 1967 graduate of Belfast Area High School.

Faye's early employment included Sears in Belfast and Rockland, Robbins Lumber in Searsmont and at Camden Community Hospital. On April 15, 1978, Faye married Jerald W. Carr in Camden.

In 2013, Faye retired from Pen Bay Medical Center, where she had worked as a phlebotomist in the lab for many years. She was a past member of the Penobscot View Grange in Glen Cove, the American Legion Auxiliary in Camden and was a member of the Ocean View Chapter of The Order of The Eastern Star since 1976.

Faye and Jerry have enjoyed being volunteers for various events held at the Thompson Center in Union and at the Union Fair.

Surviving is her husband, Jerry Carr of Union; a daughter, Callie Carr of Belfast; three grandchildren, Victoria Knutson, Casie Knutson and Steven Carr; a sister, Jean Bower of Belfast; her brother-in-law, Frank Carr of Camden; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, Jan. 8 from 5 to 7 p.m., with an OES service at 6 p.m., at Long Funeral Home, 9 Mountain St. in Camden.
