WARREN — Evelyn G. Linscott, 88, died peacefully on May 11, 2016, at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport.

Born in Dresden on Sept. 6, 1927, she was the daughter of Harold and Mary Siegars Wall. Educated locally, she moved to Warren during her freshmen year, graduating from Warren High School, Class of 1947. Following graduation, Evelyn married Loy Milton Linscott in Warren on Dec. 9, 1947.

The couple made their home in Rockland, and during the earlier years of their marriage, Evelyn was employed with several local restaurants. Later she worked for several years with Crowe Rope.

Next, Evelyn put her talent for taking care of others to good use, opening Linscott's Boarding Home in both Warren and Union. For more than 20 years she gave of her time and herself operating the homes.

Evelyn's number one priority was her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to go shopping, looking for treasures she could give as gifts, especially at Christmas time. Most recently she has been content completing crossword-puzzles and watching her shows. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
