CAMDEN — Eva Morong Pease, 93, died Feb. 28, 2013. She was a life-long resident of Camden born Oct. 28, 1919, to Sam F. and Celia M. Cernosia. Eva was affectionately known as "Nanny" and dedicated her life to her family. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren's accomplishments and enjoyed sharing her box full of photos and newspaper clippings about them. A great deal of her legacy continues to be illustrated in her children and grandchildren through knitting, sewing and cooking.

She was an avid Red Sox fan. As the official birthday cake baker and peanut butter ball maker, she made the holidays very special. Eva was always ready for a game of cards with her grandchildren. She made sure that all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren had one of her beautiful handmade quilts.

Her last days were spent at Windward Gardens. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation not only for the extraordinary care she received but the love and affection of the wonderful nurses of the Spring Garden Unit. We will be forever grateful for their care.

Eva is survived by her three children, Louise Morong Wentworth, Frank G. Morong and his wife, Janice, and Edwin W. Morong and his wife, Glenna, all of Camden; six grandchildren, Bruce W. Wentworth, Gerry Ross, Terry Romain, Laurie Doran, Chris Morong and William G. Morong; 13 great grandchildren; and eight great great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a lifelong friend and brother-in-law, Everett Morong and his son, Gary.

A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, Camden in the spring and will be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camden First Aid Association, P.O. Box 368, Camden, Me 04843 or to P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center, P.O. Box 707, Rockport, ME 04856.
