JACKSON — Elva Ruth Littlefield, 86, left this world on Jan. 19, 2017, at Mt. St. Joseph in Waterville, after a long-term illness. She received the utmost of compassionate care there and was loved by all her caregivers. She was born in Blaine, to William and Geneva Porter, on May 16, 1930, and spent all of her married years in Jackson.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Royce Littlefield on Sept. 12, 2012, at his family farm. They married Aug. 27, 1950. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Wallace, Clarence, Carrol, Guy, Glenn and Sidney; and her sisters, Marion, Beaulah and Dorothy.

Elva is survived by three siblings, Leila Cole of Hodgdon and her children, Cecil Porter and his children and Ellen Roberts and her children; as well as a very special niece, Darlene Hineman and her family. She also leaves behind her daughter, Marion "Jeannie" Bryant LeClere and her husband, David; Marion's children, Scott A. Bryant and his wife, Cherdelle, and their daughters, Kyia and Allura, and Christopher R. Bryant and his partner, Melissa, and her daughter, Lilly; her daughter, Kathryn and her life partner, Gordon Wood, and Kathryn's daughter, Wendy Bradford and her husband, Erik; Wendy's son, Jason, and her son, Joshua and his wife, Amanda, and their daughters, Madison and Macie; Kathryn's son, Jeremy Kimball and his wife, Tonya, and their son, Gunner; and Jeremy's daughter, Michela.

Elva was loved by all who knew her and was caregiver to her grandchildren, helping mold them into the successes they are in life today. Life is bittersweet, but we can all go to sleep knowing Mom is where she has been wanting to be for many years now - and that is with her loving husband, Royce. Love you Mom, and we will see you on the other side, Jeannie, Kathy and their families.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 13, at 10 a.m. at Cates Cemetery in Jackson.
