Ellen Marie Roberts, 80 left this world on June 2, 2017, at Sussman Hospice in Rockport, after a brief illness. During her short time there, she received the best of care. She was born May 2, 1937, in Blaine, to William E. Porter and Geneva Carmichael Porter.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Roberts, one day earlier. She was also predeceased by her bothers, Wallace, Clarence, Carroll, Guy, Glenn and Sidney; and her sisters, Dorothy, Beulah, Marion and Elva.

Ellen is survived by two siblings, Leila Cole of Houlton and Cecil Porter of Waterville. She also leaves behind her children, Darlene Hineman and Tom of Vassalboro, Penny Ward of Swanville, Torie Patterson and wife Julie, of Thorndike; two stepsons, Hal Patterson and Sherry of Veazie, and Richard Roberts and his wife, Marie, and their children, all of Waldo. She had several grandchildren, Aaron Reynolds, Jeremy Reynolds, Dustin Fowler, Andrew Fowler, Jackson Hineman, Nicole Lovely, Kelly Ward, Corey Ward and Anthony Ward, Matthew Patterson and Ashley Blad; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Arianna, Kayleen, Brielle Reynolds, Fulton and Harper Fowler, Ronin and Olivia Patterson, and Daniel Blad; and a special sister-in-law, Pansy Porter.

Ellen was a very hard worker all throughout her life. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, and doing projects around the house. Her family used to say, "Her house was so clean we could eat off the floors." She loved having family barbecues and spending holidays with her children. She will forever be in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at Brooks Pentecostal Church.
