SCARBOROUGH — Elizabeth Clough Bartlett, 88, widow of the late Fredrick S. Bartlett Sr., died Nov. 19, 2012 at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough.

Born Sept. 7, 1924, she was the daughter of J Austin and Jean Daggett Clough. Educated in Rockland, she was a 1942 graduate of Rockland High School.

Following high school, Elizabeth worked for the John Bird Company, before working for a short time with Rockland Savings and Loan. Later, she was employed as a legal secretary for Strout and Payson for many years.

Mrs. Bartlett was a long time member of Pratt Memorial Methodist Church, and later moved her membership to the Federated Church of Thomaston.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her brother, William Austin Clough. Mrs. Bartlett is survived by her sister, Joan L. Feyler of Rockland; her daughter, Wilma B. Rico of Half Moon Bay, Calif.; her son, Fredrick S. Bartlett Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Prescott, Ariz.; her son, Lawrence E. Bartlett and his wife, Virginia, of Bath; and her four grandchildren, Benjamin Rico, Molly Fitzpatrick, Jane Bartlett, and Sally Bartlett; as well two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Alice Fitzpatrick.

A celebration of Mrs. Bartlett's life will be held Monday, Nov. 26, at 1 p.m. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland. Interment will follow in Achorn Cemetery in Rockland.
