NORTHPORT - Eileen S. (Sennott) Preskenis, 86, of Northport, passed away on Sept. 5, 2016, in Bangor. She was born on July 30, 1930, in Cambridge, Mass., the daughter of Frederick and Mary (McNiff) Sennott.

Eileen was active with her local senior college as well as the Waldo County Hospital Volunteers. She loved to travel but remained a mom first with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband of 49 years, Robert Preskenis; as well as six siblings.

Eileen is survived by her children, Robert and Pamela Preskenis of Knoxville, Tenn., Eileen Maguire and Matt Dennen of Northport, John Preskenis of Dover, Del., Richard and Lisa Preskenis of Philadelphia, Pa., James and Tracey Preskenis of Dover, Del., and Mary Gilligan and Dan Courter of Winthrop; her sister, Carina Logue of North Andover, Mass.; her brother, Frank Sennott of Buckfield; her grandchildren, James Preskenis, Lauren Preskenis, Robert Preskenis, Matthew Maguire, Lindsay Preskenis, Michael Preskenis, Brian Preskenis, Patrick Maguire, Christopher Preskenis, Kathryn Maguire, Kelsey Preskenis, Jack Gilligan, Ryan Gilligan and Kerri Gilligan; and her great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Sophia and Gia Preskenis.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi, 81 Court St. in Belfast.
