NORTHPORT — Edwin H. Waldman passed away on Sept. 16, 2016, peacefully in his sleep. He was surrounded by his wife of 62 years, Caroline, and his children, Joshua, Victoria, Andrea and Noah.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Ed was originally from New York City, but had lived his last 60 years in Maine, initially in Waterville, where he and Caroline raised their four children, and where he served as the vice president of research and development at Keyes Fibre Company. Later, he and Caroline retired to Northport, where they enjoyed their beautiful seaside home and many new friends.

A memorial service, to celebrate Edwin's life, will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at 3 p.m. in Hedge's Hall at Point Lookout in Northport.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to his family's chosen charities: MaineHealth Home and Hospice Care, the Belfast Free Library and Waldo County General Hospital.
