BAHS perfect attendance recognition program

Belfast Area High School’s goal this year has been to increase attendance for students. The staff recognize that in order for a student to achieve the standards that are being set for students, they need to be present in school every day, according to a news release.

After great discussion, a program was created to reward those students who have achieved quarterly Perfect Attendance with a certificate, and then select one boy and one girl from the list, randomly, to win a prize.

Dutch Chevrolet, in Belfast, is corporate sponsor of the Attendance Reward Program this fall.

On November 19, 160 students with perfect attendance certificates for quarter one were recognized at an all-school assembly. At that assembly, two students were awarded 7-inch tablets.

The winners of these tablets were: Artem Richter and Grace Bonarrigo, both 9th grade students.
