WALDOBORO — The fourth annual Dustin J. Osier Memorial Alumni basketball games will be held on Friday, Dec. 26 at Medomak Valley High School.

“Three games will be held to honor our friend and and stand out Panther athlete, [Dustin J. Osier],” said game coordinator Missy Dean. 

Osier was three-sport athlete at [Medomak Valley High School] who unexpectedly lost his life in a tragic car accident on Aug. 19, 2011,” Dean stated. “This event raises money for college scholarships to future [Medomak Valley] students to pursue their secondary education. In the past three years, due to this wonderful event, we have been able to award approximately $18,000 in college scholarships.”

The games begin at 6 p.m. with the women’s game, followed by an “oldie” men’s game at 7 p.m. and a “young” men’s game at 8 p.m. 

In the case of poor weather, the event will be rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 27 at the same times and location. 

“As it stands today, we are looking for all [Medomak Valley] alumni to make this event a successful one like previous years,” said Dean.
