The Midcoast Busline league is well underway with middle school basketball games. 

Below are the scores that have been submitted to our sports department.

8th Grade Boys: Medomak 54, Camden-Rockport 48 (Dec. 5)

Medomak pulled out an exciting victory over Camden Monday. This one went down to the wire. 

With the score tied at 44, Zach Winpenny and Parker Morrison hit key free throws down the stretch to pull out the victory.

Camden-Rockport held advantages of 8-6, 12-11 at the end of the first and second quarters. The game was tied at 21 after three.

8th Grade Girls: Camden-Rockport 29, Medomak 26 (Dec. 5)

A tough loss for MMS, the girls tried very hard, played awesome defense and gave it 110% and just fell three points short of the win.

Medomak lead 8-6 after one and 12-11 at the half. The game was tied at 21 after three. 

During the 4th quarter the score went back and forth and ended with Medomak scoring five and Camden scoring eight. 

Great defense was played by Eliza Nelson, Gabby Baughman and Abby Lash.

7th Grade Boys: Medomak 61, Camden-Rockport 31 (Dec. 5)

The MMS 7th boys improved to 3-1 on the season with a 61-31 victory over visiting Camden.

The first quarter saw the young men rush out to a 24-10 lead, with a 39-14 half time advantage and 55-25 score at the end of the third quarter. Both teams scored six points in the fourth quarter for the final score.

After the first, it was 10-9 Oceanside and the game was tied at the half at 18. Camden lead 37-31 after three.

7th Grade Boys: Great Salt Bay 74, Medomak 32 (Dec. 2)

The Medomak Middle School 7th boys lost on Friday December 2nd to a very strong Great Salt Bay team by a final score of 74-32. Great Salt Bay jumped out to an early lead with an 18-7 first quarter advantage and continued to extend the lead throughout the game.

Great Salt Bay lead 45-15, 62-28 at the second and third quarter breaks, respectively.
