WASHINGTON — Debra Arlene Linscott, 55, of Washington, passed away peacefully on Dec. 31, 2015, after losing her battle with kidney cancer. Debbie was born May 26, 1960, in Belfast.

She grew up and spent most of her childhood in Northport, on a farm and local gas station where she discovered her love of animals and the outdoors. As an adult, Debbie took pleasure in many outside activities, camping many times in the woods of northern Maine, ice fishing, kayaking and gardening.

Debbie was known for her outgoing, spirited personality and cheerful sense of humor.

One of Debbie's greatest loves was enjoying the time spent with her two grandchildren, Gavin and Ariel. Often the time spent included sleep overs with a movie, popcorn and lots of cuddling.

Debbie was well known throughout the community from her many years as a waitress, most recently at Come Spring Café, where she formed many long-lasting relationships.

Debbie is survived by her daughter Shanna Castner, son-in-law Gary Castner, and their two children, Gavin and Ariel, and her daughter Darci Linscott, all of Washington; her brothers, Normand Maddocks and his wife, Debbie, of Turner, and Richard Maddocks and his wife, Diana, of Warren. Debbie also had many close friends who she considered like family, including Austin Stark, Valerie Simmons, Vickie Knowlton, Cheryl McCauley and Kelli Stark.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Feb. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge on Sennebec Road in Union.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sussman House in Rockport.

Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine.
