Dean W. Barlow, obituary

Dean W. Barlow, 45, of Knox passed away on July 8, 2017 in Lewiston. He was born on January 10, 1972 in Belfast.

Dean graduated from Mt. View class of 1990 in high school; he enjoyed wrestling. After graduation he went on to study diesel mechanics. He was known for his skill in working on vehicles and their mechanics. Dean was employed as a truck driver at State Sand and Gravel for 15 years and more recently Crown Royal. He was a volunteer fire fighter in Waldo as well as an outdoorsman who enjoyed his time hunting, fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles.

He was predeceased by his grandparents. Dean is survived by his mother Shirley Barlow Ryder of Belfast; his children Monica Barlow of Belfast, Raymond Barlow of Searsport, Matthew Barlow of Bangor, Felicia Barlow of Frankfort; siblings Robert Barlow of Belfast and Brian Barlow and wife Mikki of Eddington; niece Amanda Hall and husband David and their son Bryson; significant other Wendi Thompson of Knox and her children Paul Willette, Jr. of Vassalboro and Erlin Willette of Knox; best friend Jason Raven and wife Irene of Brooks.

Dean left this world too soon. He will be missed and forever in the hearts of all who knew him. His last gift of organ donation gave life to others and his generous spirit will always be remembered.

A memorial service will be held on July 22, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Knox Ridge Baptist Church. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.ripostafh.com
