College Transitions program in Belfast

BELFAST — Belfast Adult Education is offering a no cost College Transitions program that will help potential students decide if college should be in their future. Orientation for thespring semester is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 2 at 8:30 a.m. Classes will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting on February 3.

The program meets at the Hutchinson Center on Route 3 in Belfast.

The program offers a supportive setting to learn or relearn the academic skills needed to succeed in college in an environment that is very similar to college in terms of class format, expectations, workload,etc.

Instructors work closely with students as they navigate the waters of math, English, and college readiness skills.

Comprehensive academic counseling and career planning designed just for the needs of each individual are also provided.

Students will have guidance with every aspect of getting ready for college including applying for financial aid, finding scholarships, and completing college applications.
