ROCKLAND —  Children of all ages are invited to join the Pizza Growers Club this summer at the Coastal Children’s Museum.

The Pizza Growers Club is a collaboration between the Good Tern Co-op, The Uproot Pie Co., and the Coastal Children’s Museum. The club will meet at the Coastal Children’s Museum on Thursdays from 1-3pm starting July 2nd through August 27th. Club members will get a chance to get their hands dirty by planting, maintaining and harvesting some fresh veggies. They’ll even get take some home.

This is a great opportunity for children to learn about healthy eating and where their food comes. The deadline for registration is June 10.

This garden is made possible by generous donations and support from fellow community members. Thanks go out to Joe March, “The Black Dirt Guy,” for the donation of compost; Sarah Karp, Arla Casselman, and Sarah Bartz for the donation of seedlings; Louise MacLellan for sign painting; Jessica Murphy for helping get supplies for a compost bin, and Liz Stanley for helping to get the compost started.
