PALERMO — A Chelsea man was arrested Jan. 2, following a reported domestic disturbance on Woods Road, in Palermo. Waldo County Sheriff’s Office Corporal Greg Jones and Deputy Jon Shaw responded to the call.

Once on scene the two learned that Roger West, 38, had assaulted two individuals at the residence, including a former partner.

West had arrived at the residence shortly before the incident, according to a media report. 

He had fled the scene while law enforcement was en route, but was located a short time later. 

West was arrested and charged with domestic violence assault and assault.  He is currently being held at Waldo County Correctional Center pending arraignment.
