Change in officers at the Medomak Valley Land Trust

Wed, 05/04/2016 - 10:30am

WALDOBORO — The Board of Medomak Valley Land Trust is pleased to announce a change in officers. These changes were originally scheduled for Jan 1, 2016, but because a new Executive Director was coming on board February 1 it was decided to postpone the transition. President Charlie Witherell and Vice President Ed Kahora will be stepping down but will remain on the board.

Sally Butler, our current secretary, will become our new president, board member John Guarnaccia will be our new vice president, and board member Susan Kellam will be our new secretary. Caren Clark will remain as our treasurer until the end of the year.

The board wants to take this opportunity of thanking Charlie for an outstanding job of steering the organization while we have been going through this transition. He has worked nonstop to keep things running efficiently while maintaining continuity with good humor and great expertise. We wish him fair summer sailing!

We are in our 25th year and we have many exciting projects underway. We look forward to celebrating our anniversary with our watershed community. Please welcome our new officers when you see them — and please stop by the office to say hello to our new Executive Director, Daniel Ungier.
