Celebrity chefs ready to amaze at Merryspring Kitchen Tour 2014

    CAMDEN — Nineteen Midcoast chefs and caterers will contribute their culinary talents to the 2014 Merryspring Kitchen Tour on Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  With a chef on hand to serve his or her cuisine in each of the nine unique home kitchens featured on the Tour, this event is an opportunity to sample the fare from a wide array of the area’s newest restaurants and caterers, as well as many well-known favorites.   

    All proceeds from this popular summertime tour benefit Merryspring Nature Center, a nonprofit park and education center located in Camden and Rockport.  Merryspring has 66 acres of scenic trails and gardens open free to the public, and it sponsors nature and environmental programs, classes, and workshops throughout the year. 

    Tickets for the tour are $35. Save $10 by ordering advance tickets. Tickets can also be purchased in advance between Tuesday, July 22 through Tuesday, Aug. 5,  at The Good Table in Belfast;  at Surroundings, Once a Tree, or Zoot Coffee in Camden; at The Market Basket in Rockport; at Atlantic Baking Company in Rockland; at The Highlands Coffee House in Thomaston, or at Rising Tide Community Market in Damariscotta.
