Born in Skowhegan, September 30, 1920, she was one of six children of Michael J. and Susan Willette Noonan. She attended Skowhegan schools, however left early to care for her mother, brothers, and sisters.

On September 6, 1941, she married Arthur W. St. Peter in Skowhegan where they resided all their married life.

While raising her own family she worked at the Skowhegan woolen mills.

ROCKLAND - Catherine M. St. Peter, 92, died Dec. 9, 2012, at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport after a brief illness.

Since her husband's death in 1972, Catherine has resided in Thomaston and Rockland.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother, who was affectionately called "Meme" by her family.

Meme enjoyed baking, doing crafts and reading. She was proud to be a member of the Rockland Emblem Club, completing a four-generation active membership in the organization.

Other than her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by two brothers, Raymond Noonan and Arthur Noonan; and one sister, Rena Leblanc. She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Mills of Thomaston; one son, Michael St. Peter of Rockland; two sisters, Margaret LePage of Skowhegan and Yvonne Bollier of Bingham; two sisters-in-law, Connie Noonan of Waterville and Rita Noonan of Windsor, Conn.; one granddaughter, Kimberly Matthews and her husband, Craig, of Thomaston; two great-grandchildren, Amber Thomas of Thomaston and Chelsey Fallin and her husband, Travis, of Key West, Fla.; two great great-grandchildren, Jeremy Billings and Raeanna Fallin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Meme was eagerly anticipating the birth of her third great great-grandchild, due Feb. 19.

A graveside committal service will be announced in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan.
