Catch the Wave — Penobscot Bay Pilot’s inaugural publication

The Wave e-Edition available too!
Fri, 08/29/2014 - 11:30am

Penobscot Bay Pilot launched PenBayPilot.com on Sept. 10, 2012, opening our virtual doors to business and creating the region’s next-wave, free community Internet site — an online hub where we deliver the news, talk and listen, where we learn what businesses are doing, and what specials and sales might be under way.

Now, we have started a magazine, because... we cannot resist a challenge! And because we have learned that there are many ways of communicating with you, our friends, neighbors and visitors.

The Wave is a publication of Penobscot Bay Pilot. It is free and it is a guide to life on the Midcoast, with the autumn edition covering Labor Day weekend through the beginning of December. There is no shortage of activities, as you will see in its pages. It is also about life in this part of the Midcoast.

In Maine, we ride the wave of seasons, loving each of them for their distinct characteristics. And we appreciate the spaces between the seasons, those bridges across the warm and cold, the surprises between what the calendar and Mother Nature dictate.

These are also the waves of our lives. School, work, play. Running businesses, debating government, cultivating farms and gardens, building neighborhoods, celebrating and mourning.

Enjoy riding the Wave with us. We had fun reflecting on what makes the Midcoast tick for this inaugural edition, and hope you do, too.

    Where to find the Wave

The Wave has been mailed to all residences in Searsport, Belfast, Lincolnville, Northport, Camden, Rockport, Rockland and Thomaston. We are also distributing in stores, galleries, restaurants, lodging and anywhere else people seem to like to stop and read in Warren, Owls Head, South Thomaston, Union, Hope, Appleton, Washington, Searsmont, Freedom, Unity, Brooks, Stockton Springs, and beyond (or that we’ve momentarily forgotten).
