Stampede, a 115-foot motor yacht, will spend the week at Wayfarer Marine in Camden. Stampede is registered to Bikini of the Marshall Islands, was built in 1990 by Delta Marine in Seattle, Washington.

It was originally designed as an expedition yacht, Princess Gloria, with a length of 108 feet and was refitted by Delta Marine in 2006.

The redesign and rename saw an extension of the yacht as well as updated interiors, electronics and rebuilt engines. Stampede requires a crew of six and can accommodate eight additional guests.

The yacht was awarded Best Refitted Yacht in 2009 by the World Superyacht Awards and the New York Yacht Club’s Best Powerboat trophy for 2008.

Stampede houses two 624 horsepower Caterpillar engines, can reach a top speed of 13 knots and cruises at 11.5 knots. It has maintained the expedition yacht structure that allows access to more demanding waters such as Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
