THOMASTON – The Camden-Rockport and HAL (Hope, Appleton, Lincolnville) wrestling teams invaded the confines of Oceanside West for a tri-meet on the mats Wednesday afternoon.

The three schools faced off against each other starting with the CRMS and HAL match up that was won by HAL after a 42-42 tie on tie breaker H, the team with the most first points, which gave HAL the 43-42 win. The second match was CRMS and Oceanside with the Mariners easily rolling to a 78-15 win. The final match was the Mariners against HAL and this one was won by Oceanside 54-33.

The first match of the evening between CRMS and HAL was the best match up team to team of the night with each team winning all matches by pin fall or forfeit. While HAL is strong in the lower weights, Camden-Rockport was strong in the upper weights leaving the matches in-between to decide the winner.

Neither HAL or CRMS were up for the task of taking on Oceanside, certainly a candidate to win it all this year along with Troy Howard who has given Oceanside their only loss of the season so far.
