CAMDEN — "We've heard requests from the community to program more concerts into our line-up, and we are happy to say we have some really great ones scheduled” says Kerry Hadley, Camden Opera House Manager.

On August 14, we feature the performance of a trio that is immensely popular in Portugal, the Luis Caracol Trio, whose musicianship, latin beats and world music will take us away. Joining them on vocals will be Eleonor Dubinsky, a NYC based vocalist/songwriter who has smooth and sophisticated vocals.

On August 21, is another in Community Supported Music Series, Elijah Ocean and Andre Lascoutx.  Both are folk, country artists, one now living in Nashville, the other in LA. Both artists had lived in Maine at some point in their lives and are back on a new album tour.  Necessary Music Productions has partnered with the Opera House to present this series, which is ongoing.

Soon thereafter for Windjammer Festival on Labor Day weekend, the platinum record selling, Grammy award winning artist Suzy Boggus and her band will perform. This big country star with countless hits to her name will headline this fun filled weekend of events centered around the traditional sailing community here in Camden.

Just announced for September 25 is the long awaited return of Celtic great Eileen Ivers. She was last here quite a few years ago when concert promoter and now DJ at WERU radio Joel Raymond presented her.

And on October 10 of Columbus Day weekend brings the beloved Dave Mallett to our stage. Singer-songwriter, one of America’s true original troubadours, with a career spanning four decades, he has recorded 14 albums, including the American folk classic Garden Song. He has appeared on numerous broadcasts, including National Public Radio’s A Prairie Home Companion. A true American master is here to help us celebrate our American themed holiday.

Looking ahead to 2016 Christine Lavin and Don White are scheduled to appear for the first time on the Opera House stage March 19.
