CAMDEN - Friday, Aug. 15 was an exciting day for Mabel, a playful hound mix from P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center in Rockport.  Mabel attended the annual celebration of the Dog Days of Summer held at the Camden National Bank’s Camden Square branch where she had the honor of meeting the winner of the Dog Days of Summer Cutest Dog Competition, a pug named Shorty, and accepting a $50 donation from Camden National Bank on behalf of P.A.W.S. 

Only a few days after the event, Mabel found a forever-home with a loving family.  One of the many animals still waiting for adoption is a young, female pit-bull mix named Willow. 

It takes Willow a little while to warm up to new people, but once you get to know her you’ll discover a smart, playful companion who loves belly rubs and car rides. You can meet Willow and other animals at the center located at 146 Camden Street in Rockport.
