“CH varsity and John Bapst varsity was a tight game, we took too many penalties which prevented our offense from getting on track,” said Camden Hills head coach Karl Enroth in a news release. “The CH JV hockey team played hard on Saturday going up against varsity hockey teams, goalies RJ Botley and Matt Czuchra played well.”

The JV team played the Hampden Academy varsity Saturday, losing 6-2. Goal scorers for the Windjammers were, Nate Vanbukhuzen and Jack Morse.

The varsity headed to Cumberland Saturday for two games in the Greely Ice Breaker.

The last Windjammer goal came on a power play from Jonah Cameron with an assist from Orne. Zach Hand was in net for Camden Hills in the win.

“Cheverus and Greely were good competitive preseason games with plenty of action on both ends of the ice,” said Enroth. “We took advantage on our power play opportunities, the defense was solid, and goalies Jet Magri and Zach Hand gave us a chance to compete and pull out both games”
