Camden Hills football game against Traip scrapped; Rangers cancel season

Mon, 09/18/2017 - 8:15pm

ROCKPORT — The Saturday, Sept. 23 varsity football game between Camden Hills and Traip Academy will not be held as Traip Academy announced Monday, Sept. 18 they are cancelling the rest of the season, a move all too familiar to Camden Hills who faced the same circumstances during the 2015 season.

The contest, set to be held in Kittery, would have been the fourth contest of the year for the Windjammers who sit at 1-2 on the year. The lone win came Saturday, Sept. 16 against Telstar while the two losses came against Marancook and Boothbay.

With the Sept. 23 game being forfeited by Traip, Camden Hills will move to 2-2 on the season and will now set its eyes towards a Saturday, Sept. 30 home contest against Sacopee Valley.
