CAMDEN — Christmas by the Sea, a much anticipated holiday event in Camden, Maine will take place this year from Dec. 4 to 6.Planning and hosting for the weekend festivities are shared by The Town of Camden and the Camden Downtown Business Group, who together with a group of community volunteers plan to offer the traditional activities, as well as expand the event. Today, the group is looking for business sponsors and information about community events planned during this time frame.

Sponsor participation is needed to help bring Christmas by the Sea to our communities. Business sponsorships are available at various levels. Signing on early ensures sponsor inclusion in all promotions leading up to the event. For more information, inquire at camdencommunitycalendar@gmail.com.

Submission for community events to be included in the Christmas by the Sea brochure must be received by Oct. 8. Information should include the name of the activity, the organization, a contact person, the day/time the activity will take place and a one sentence description. Christmas by the Sea is a December tradition in Camden that many families both near and far joyfully participate in. This year is no exception: plans include a holiday parade, stores open late with ongoing sales, carriage rides, a tree-lighting in Harbor Park, carolers, the “real Santa”, and many crafts, fairs and activities throughout the Midcoast communities.
