    CAMDEN — The following events will take place at The Camden Public Library this week:

    Thursday, August 27

    Camden Garden Club hosts Lee Schneller, author of The Ever Blooming Flower Garden: a blueprint for continuous color, 9:30 a.m. at the Camden Public Library.

    Claudia Schmidt and Sally Rogers in Concert in the Reading Room at the Camden Public Library, 7 p.m.. Tickets are $12 and will be available at the library only. Call 207-236-3440 to make reservations or to purchase tickets; available online at the library’s website at librarycamden.org/shop/.

    Friday, August 28

    Momentum Theater presents a free performance, “Ma and Pa’s Spectacularium: A Causality Carnival of Chaos” – a condensed version of Shakespeare’s “Henry V,” Alfred Jarry’s “Ubu Roi,” and Larry Jay Tish’s “The Break-up of Cause and Effect.” 3 p.m. in Camden’s Harbor Park, by the waterfront.

    Free Walking Tours every Friday at 4 p.m., hosted by the Camden Public Library and the Camden Downtown Business Group. Reservations are encouraged; please call the library at 207-236-3440.

    Indoor Book Sale 9 a.m.to 5 p.m., at the Camden Public Library, to benefit the book fund.

    Sunday, August 30

    Indoor Book Sale 1 to 4 p.m., at the Camden Public Library, to benefit the book fund.

    Tuesday, September 1

    Opening art reception for Artist of the Month Sandy Cirillo, 6 p.m. at the Camden Public Library, all are welcome. Cirillo’s exhibit, “Fiber Fantasy,” was created with fibers and other materials “for an experience in tactile imagery and contrasts!”

    Wednesday, September 2

    Regular meeting of the Midcoast Stroke Support Group, 10 a.m. at the Camden Public Library, all are welcome.

    Thursday, September 3

    “Sassafras Stomp” performs at the Camden Library Coffeehouse, 7 p.m. Johanna Davis, fiddle, and Adam Nordell, guitar and banjo, play and sing sweet, high-energy folk music from Maine and Montana. Admission to the Coffeehouse is only $5.

    Thursday, September 10

    Author Kate Braestrup presents her new book, Anchor & Flares: A Memoir of Motherhood, Hope & Service, 7 p.m. at the Camden Public Library, all are welcome. Braestrup is one of the first chaplains ever appointed to the Maine Warden Service.
