BURNHAM — Burley Jon Holt, 80, of Burnham, passed away April 17, 2016. He was born to Alton and Ermel Holt on Oct. 25, 1935, in Burnham, along with a twin sister, Shirley Jean, who passed away in 1963.

He graduated from Unity High in 1954. He worked at the corn shop and later went to work for Ethan Allan, where he worked for 37 years until they closed their doors in 1990, and he retired after that. He loved to dance, fish, play cribbage, bowl and four-wheel.

Burley was predeceased by his parents; his twin sister, Shirley Hunt and her husband, Blake; and a special nephew, Kimberly Hunt. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce (Bane) Holt; his son, Kevin, and daughter-in-law, Denise; his granddaughters, Ashley Morency and her husband, Craig, and Brittanie Holt and her husband, Dameko; four great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Maddilyn and Abbigail Morency, and Demarcus Smith and Baby Smith, due in August; his mother-in-law, Winifred Bane; his brothers-in-law, Dale Brooks and his wife, Marlene, and Brian Bane and his wife, Sharon; his sister-in-law, Eloise Bane; his cousins, Manley Holt Jr., Genie Barker and Nancy Shipley; his special friends, Sterling and Darlene Vaughan, Richard and Mary Shibles, John Crosby, Bubba Grignon, Ron Spiegel and Joyce Wood; and many more nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

At the request of Burley, there will be no funeral service. He will be interred in the family plot at Reynolds Cemetery in Burnham.
