WASHINGTON — Bryant W. Mank Jr., 45, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 1, 2016, at his home in Washington, Maine. Bryant was born in Rockland on Aug. 19, 1971, to parents Bryant Mank Sr. and Joyce Creamer Mank.

Bryant grew up in North Waldoboro and attended local schools and was a 1989 graduate of Medomak Valley High School.

Bryant loved being a laborer, having worked for Myron Lash on his farm, Gary Newbert's farm, where he worked for more than 20 years, as well as working for RZR Hardware in Waldoboro for more than four years. One of Bryant's favorite pastimes was going to car shows with his good friend, David Benner Sr. Bryant also had a 1971 Chevy Cheyenne truck restored, which meant a lot to him.

Bryant was always talked about as being a hard worker, dedicated to his jobs and would help anyone who needed it. Being able to work on the farm allowed him to have his own small garden at Gary Newberts, and one that he was proud to work in.

Bryant was predeceased by his mother, Joyce Mank in 2006. Left to cherish his memory is his father, Bryant Mank Sr. of Rockland; his sister, Lorie Mank and her companion, Dalton Crummett; also a nephew, Braden Crummett of Washington; as well as other aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who knew him through the places he worked at.

There will be a celebration of Bryant's life on Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hall's of Waldoboro, 949 Main St. in Waldoboro.

Hall's of Waldoboro has care of the arrangements.
