Brian Scott Simmons, 52, of Waldoboro, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Waldoboro. Brian was born April 4, 1965 to Sandra Mank of Waldoboro. Brian grew up in South Waldoboro and Friendship. He attended the Friendship Village School and graduated from Medomak Valley High School Class of 1984.

He worked for Fisher Engineering for 35 years, beginning his junior year of high school and was a shipping/receiving manager. He was a member of the Waldoboro Fire Department. He hayed for Melvin for over 40 years. He was a fun loving, happy go lucky jokester. He enjoyed collecting sports cards, die-cast cars, and the Dallas Cowboys. He was also an avid softball player. But most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren, but Bria held a very special place in her PaPa's heart.

He was predeceased by his Grandmother Mary Simmons, Uncle Mikey Simmons, Aunts Donna Turner and Evelyn Dyer. Brian is survived by his wife Kathleen (Smith) Simmons of Waldoboro, daughters, Megan (Anthony) Monfiletto of Nobleboro, Chelsea (Austin) Parsons of Damariscotta, Kaitlyn May of Waldoboro, Mother Sandra Mank of Waldoboro, grandchildren Bria Ponsant of Damariscotta, A.J. Monfiletto of Nobleboro, Ryan and Allison Parsons of Damariscotta, Aunts Pat Havenner of Friendship, Brenda Willey of Waldoboro, Pam Simmons (Carroll Willey) of Waldoboro, Diana (Wayne) Benner of Friendship, Andrea (William) Bragg of Waldoboro, Uncle Virgil "Butch" (Susan) Simmons of Friendship, several nieces and nephews, his good friend Melvin Williams and his two dogs Riley and Maverick.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, in Waldoboro. A celebration of Brian's life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Broad Bay Congregational United Church of Christ, Main Street, in Waldoboro, Reverend Bob Dorr and Reverend Nancy Duncan officiating.
