FRIENDSHIP — Beverly May Benner Winslow went home to be with the Lord March 14, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Beverly was born March 13, 1949, to Charles and Frances (Simmons) Benner. She attended local schools and graduated from Waldoboro High School in 1967.

On Aug. 27, 1966, she married William “Billy” Winslow and together they had two daughters, Melissa and Rebecca. Beverly loved being a stay-at-home mom and sharing in her daughters’ accomplishments and joys. She especially enjoyed being there for the birth of her grandchildren.

She was a volunteer on the Friendship Ambulance Service for 13 years and was a member of the Friendship Women's Auxiliary Club. Beverly worked as a caregiver for the elderly and had a special bond with Isabelle Argow.

She was a great crafter and enjoyed crocheting and sewing, and watching her husband grow a garden for canning. Beverly enjoyed going dancing and playing cards with her family. She also loved reading the Bible and had a great faith in God. She was a faithful watcher of the Rev. Joel Olsteen every Sunday morning. She loved staying in touch with her Facebook family and friends. Beverly's greatest joy was spending time with her family, friends and being involved in her children and grandchildren's lives.

Beverly is predeceased by her parents, Charles D. and Frances Benner; her grandparents, George Sr. and Marguarite Simmons, and Ralph and Alwilda Benner; her brothers, Charles Jr. and Arnold Benner; two uncles, Charlie and Donald Simmons; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Rogers; her father-in-law Robert Winslow; her sisters-in-law, Vida Kelly and Virginia Cunningham; her brothers-in-law, Robert Winslow Jr. and Joel Maxcy; and her great-nephew, Derek Benner.
