BELMONT — A 29-year-old Holden woman was arrested last week after a Waldo County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a probation check on the home owner.

After arriving at the residence Feb. 28 to check on the homeowner, who was on probation, Deputy Merl Reed allegedly observed marijuana and drug paraphernalia located “in plain sight.”

The drugs and paraphernalia were identified as belonging to Amy Doak of Holden, another female at the residence, according to Sheriff Jeff Trafton in a press release March 6.

While talking to Doak, Reed discovered 13 packages of a substance that Doak identified as heroin.

Doak was arrested for possible of a schedule W drug, a class C felony. She was transported to Waldo County Correctional Center, where she was later released on $700 cash bail.
