During her career at Belfast, Cummings chalked up 49 goals and 35 assists and her best season was her junior year, when she scored 20 goals, alongside 10 assists, setting the school record for the most goals in a single season, according to the release.

Belfast won the state championship during Cummings’ sophomore year, in 2011, and were the state runner-ups in 2012.

Cummings was named the team’s Most Valuable Player her last three years and earned All-Rookie, All-Academic and All-State awards, according to the release.

In high school, she also participated in softball, basketball, and track and field.

Her team bio notes that her sister, Brittany, is a University of Maine alum who also played field hockey for the Black Bears, from 2007 to 2011.

Cummings will be a nursing major in the fall.
