Belfast Police beat: Operating under the influence, theft of services, assault, bad checks

    BELFAST — The Belfast Police Department reported the following activity Oct. 7-20. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. 

    Sept. 30

    Robert Cyphers III, 24, of Montville, was issued summonses for two charges of negotiating a worthless instrument (bad check), stemming from an incident Sept. 22, and negotiating a worthless instrument stemming from an incident Sept. 15.

    Oct. 1

    Nickolas Ortiz, 38, of Belfast, was issued a summons for terrorizing on Belmont Avenue.

    Oct. 7

    Cheryl A. Briggs, 48, of Belfast, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation on Northport Avenue.

    Oct. 9

    Shannon M. Kirk, 43, of Topsham, was issued a summons for theft of services.

    Oct. 11

    James J. Dooling, 45, of Belfast, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Waldo Avenue.

    Oct. 15

    Noah J. Hall, 33, of Bangor, was issued a summons for failure to maintain control of a vehicle on Head of Tide Road.

    Cheryl Jack, 54, of Belfast, was issued a summons for criminal trespass on Swan Lake Avenue.

    Trevor Stover, 39, of Ellsworth, was issued summonses for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer at Hannaford and violating conditions of release, stemming from an incident Sept. 25.

    Oct. 16

    Nicole E. Hubbard, 27, of Belfast, was issued summonses for negotiating a worthless instrument (bad check) at Perry's Quick Stop, stemming from an incident Oct 5, and negotiating a worthless instrument at Jacks Grocery stemming from an incident Sept. 30.

    Mark A. Stovall, 35, of Belfast, was arrested for assault on Patterson Hill Road, refusing to submit to arrest or detention and violating conditions of release.

    Oct. 17

    Jonathan W. Clapp, 49, of Belfast, was issued a summons for allowing a dog to be at large on Northport Avenue.

    Hannah M. Berta, 23, of Rockport, was issued a summons for operating under the influence on Atlantic Highway.

    Justin B. Canning, 30, of Belfast, was issued summonses for forgery and theft by deception on High Street.

    Oct. 19

    David G. Leighton, 48, of Belfast, was issued a summons for violating condition of release on Rolerson Road.

    Deanna Carfagno, 23, of Belmont, was issued summonses for possession of a useable amount of marijuana and sale and use of drug paraphernalia on Main Street.
