BELFAST — Belfast Creative Coalition announces the first of the 2017 Belfast Fourth Friday Art Walks, which will take place on May 26 on and around Main Street and High Street in downtown Belfast, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Over the last decade the Belfast Fourth Friday Art Walk has established itself as a summer staple for residents and tourists alike. On the Art Walk this summer, visit the Maine Farmland Trust Gallery, the Belfast Bay Shade Company, the Finch Gallery, Waterfall Arts, Kris Engman Studio, Lewis Cisle Studio, Small Space, Evolve: Sanctuary for the Soul, Betts Gallery at the Belfast Framer, Gail Savitz, the Parent Gallery, the Belfast Clay Studio, the Treasured Leaf Tea Company, and Randall Jason Irvin Studio. Visit as many sites you want, in whatever order you want; view an amazing variety of art, visit with the artists, and enjoy an evening in the heart of Belfast's creative community.

The Belfast Fourth Friday Art Walks feature live performances as well, welcoming a variety of performing artists throughout the season from musicians to poets to dancers to mimes and more. Information about each month's performances will be available on BCC's website prior to the Art Walk.

BCC is also pleased to welcome back the Farm to Gallery Food Tastings in 2017. To celebrate the synergy of local foods and art so typical of Waldo County, Maine Farmland Trust will coordinate Farm to Gallery food tastings during the June, July and August Art Walks.

Come by the corner of High and Main streets during the art walk to pick up an art walk map and to say hello to the BCC crew.

The Belfast Fourth Friday Art Walk series is made possible in part through the generous support of our members, Coyote Moon, Front Street Shipyard and Bangor Savings Bank.
