LIMINGTON — Barbara Ogilvie Mosher died Sept. 24, 2016. She was born May 27, 1932, in Quincy, Mass., the daughter of Kent Myers and Jessie Holmes Ogilvie.

Barbara attended local Quincy schools, graduating from North Quincy High School in 1949. She then attended Tufts College and Boston University, and graduated from Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing in 1954.

During her many years in nursing, Barbara enjoyed a variety of positions in hospitals and health care agencies in Boston, Mass., Miami, Fla., Yuma, Ariz., and Camden and Portland, Maine; retiring from her career with a position at Knox Center for Long Term Care in Rockland.

Although she enjoyed all facets of her career, her most enjoyable and satisfying were the years she taught certified nursing assistant classes in Camden. She took great pride that many of her students went on in their education and became licensed and registered nurses.

Barbara married Brad Mosher in Miami, Fla., in 1958. He died in 1972.

Barbara enjoyed life, music, books, crossword puzzles, watching birds at her feeders, the ocean, keeping a journal, CBS Sunday mornings, watching tennis, work-outs at the gym with her trainer, Phyllis, and phone conversations with her family.

Barbara was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Diane, at birth; a son, Steven Mosher in 2008; and two grandsons.

Her survivors include her daughters, Marilyn Durgin and her husband, Rocky, of Limington, Susan Eubanks of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Lee Jones of Topeka, Kan.; her sons, Douglas Mosher and his wife, Tricia, of Orlando, Fla., and Scott Mosher and his wife, Eloisa, of Moorpark, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; seven great-granddaughters; her good friend, Brenda Berry; and her grand-dog, Elton.

At her request there will be no funeral. A family memorial service will be announced later.

And when you have reached the mountain top,
Then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs,
Then shall you truly dance.
